We asked our staff to weigh in on their favorite tech gifts on their shopping lists. We hope they’ll help spark some ideas as you get ready to make everyones’ day this Holiday Season!
Dustin Wright, Chief Technology Officer
Meta Quest Pro
A gift for the person on your list anxious to change their reality to a Virtual Reality. Meta says this is “A whole new way to work, create and collaborate.” I say Winter can be brutal in Ohio. Here’s a chance to get away to someplace warm… virtually! Check it out on Meta’s website.

Samsung Freestyle Projector
One alternative to a traditional television is a projector and the Samsung Freestyle Projector is a good option in this category. If you have a “great room” or basement with space to project a HD picture, this might be a great gift… for you or a loved one. If you like outdoor gatherings, it’s also a great option for out back. The Freestyle projector “smart” and has Netflix, Hulu and other streaming apps. It’s currently on sale for $600.
Amy Austin, Administrative Secretary
Beats Solo3 Wireless
My daughters both have these Beats Solo, wireless headphones and love them for everything including music, podcasts, and online classes. What they don’t love is my husband borrowing them. So, this Christmas, I think I will give him his own pair! He can have the black ones… they are on sale!
Ian Simmons, Install Manager
Shark IQ Robot Self-Empty XL Robotic Vacuum
I might be careful with my gift suggestion as it isn’t something I would recommend giving to a spouse, but my family bought a Shark robotic vacuum recently and it’s been pretty awesome. With a Dog and two toddlers, this vacuum saves us so much time. It’s the best thing since sliced bread! Check it out online.
Nick Hogue, Outside Plant Manager
Nest Mini
If you’re looking to dip your toe into the virtual assistant water, the Nest Mini is on sale for Black Friday at a price of $20. This is versus the regular price of $49, letting you take virtual assistants for a spin at a stocking-stuffer price!
Sam Bartlett, Broadband Technician
Death Star Speaker
If you have someone on your list that needs a portable speaker, that’s also a Star Wars fan… I found a really cool gift. The Death Star as a floating speaker… yes please!
Doug Adams, Marketing Director
Airo Collective Stealth Wallet, Razor
Less tech, more techie, is a minimalist wallet. There are a lot on the market, but one that I came across that is a nice option is the Airo Collective’s Stealth, weighing only a fraction of an ounce. There are two pocket card slots, each holding for holding up to four credit cards, and a thin elastic band — Airo calls it a “ballistic bungee loop” — that securely holds your cash (if you still carry cash) in place. Josh Cingel, Associate Support Engineer
GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition Graphics Card
This is a pricey suggestion, but if you’re single and a serious gamer, maybe the most important person on your gift list is yourself! I love this graphics card. View online.
BONUS Item!
Dribble Up Fitness Boxing Gloves
This is a must for the person on your list who is an exercise-at-home enthusiast. These boxing gloves let you get a good workout in with some fun classes and instructors… from home. The gloves are on sale this holiday season, selling or $50 instead of the normal retail price of $150 through the holidays. These provide a simple, fun way for boxing newbies to get a workout in your own home. This requires a $17 monthly fee for instructor sessions but a limited selection of practice sessions is available for free. Check out these gloves.
We’re wishing you all a Happy Holiday Season and an amazing 2023!
